FloridaBarNews.TV - Update #31: Florida Bar Prez-elect boosts number of women lawyers on committees
Welcome back once again to The Florida Bar News -- video edition!
This week, FloridaBarNews.TV looks closer at how Florida Bar President-elect Michael Higer is moving the needle and leveling the playing field for women lawyers in Florida. Higer’s committee appointments this year represent an increase of 8 percent in women over the last five years -- and the 192 committee chairs and vice chairs for 2017-18, 51 percent are women. Higer’s appointments also continue a trend of diversifying committee membership over the years to correct disparity of women lawyers in positions of power at the Bar.
